Craig was appointed to the Board in June 2001; he has 27 years’ experience as a practicing accountant and management consultant. He is currently the proprietor of Devlin & Co, Accountants, and is the principal of Devlin Business Development Group Pty Ltd.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University, a Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne and a Diploma of Corporate Management from AICS. He is also an ASCPA and a registered tax agent.
Rob joined Close the Loop in October 2013. Rob has been based in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, and the US prior to moving to Australia in 2009 and has held responsibility for businesses across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the US, and Australia, ranging from start-up to in excess of $1bn in turnover.
Rob has a strong track record of building efficient and successful companies and his sector background spans Biotechnology, Medical Devices, and Automotive as well as Hi-Tech Electronics.
Rob holds a Master of Science from Aston Business School in the UK and is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
Steve conceived the idea for Close the Loop in 1999, and turned it into a stand alone business in early 2001. As CEO of Close the Loop for the first 6 years, Steve developed the original, game changing business model of a co-operative, voluntary, multi-vendor, producer responsibility collection, and recycling program for toner and inkjet cartridges. Steve worked with Planet Ark to co-create the highly successful ‘Cartridges 4 Planet Ark’ program, perhaps Australia’s most successful e-waste recycling program to date.
The inventor of 6 patented processes related to recycling and materials recovery technologies for toner and ink cartridges, Steve is an energetic entrepreneur who believes, as in nature, there is no such thing as ‘waste’.
Tom Ogonek has been with Close the Loop since May 2011 and brings over twenty years of experience in the environmental industry. As Close the Loop’s General Manager U.S., Tom holds a key leadership role and oversees all departments of our U.S. operations. Tom’s responsibilities include the overall facility management, financial growth, and business development for both existing and new clients. Tom’s background in chemistry and manufacturing provides CtL with key knowledge and experience that is important as CtL’s grows and diversifies the business.
Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology from Northern Kentucky University. He currently works as an adjunct professor at Cincinnati State in the Center for Innovative Technology and serves on the Industry Alumni and Student Advisory Board at Northern Kentucky University’s Engineering Technology Program.
Greg Elpers joined Close the Loop in January 2016 and brings over twenty years of experience in the environmental industry. His experience in teaming with clients to meet sustainability, regulatory compliance, and fiscal goals is key to CtL’s growth and diversification. Greg is responsible for leading the US sales, marketing and business development team as well the US short and long range growth strategies targeted toward existing and new markets. Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
Malcolm has been working with Close the Loop since 2011. Malcolm’s current role with Close the Loop is focused on improving operations and adding value to output streams to further enhance the leading position and profile of the company. Malcolm has had over 30 years’ experience in agriculture, manufacturing and sourcing in Australia, Africa, USA, and Asia. He has held several positions in operational, technical, and CEO rolls. He has specialized in company turnarounds, restructuring, productivity improvements, and general management.
He holds a BSc Agric Economics (Hons) degree and an MBA from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania.
